Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting as an anchor at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. In later years, she was employed by WCBD as an anchor in the morning and a crime reporter. O'Dell's reporting on the lax response of the police to DUI incidents in Charleston led to an investigation by State Law Enforcement Division, that led to a revised policy from state officials regarding DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell was awarded the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. O'Dell's experience in Charleston led her to serve as co-anchor, investigative report as well as NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV. Before becoming a part of Access Hollywood she was a weekday co-anchor as well as NBC's weekend co-anchor. As well as her job as the lead anchor for Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also an anchor for NBC News' Today and also for Dateline NBC. She's reported on major events like The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted the Pre ShowArrivals shows at The Emmys.
