Nancy O'Dell started her career in the broadcast industry as reporter for WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Then, she joined WCBD as an anchor in the morning and a crime reporter. The stories she reported in Charleston regarding the police's tolerance in DUI cases, prompted the State Law Enforcement Division to examine. This led to state authorities issuing more strict regulations in these cases. Ms. O'Dell received recognition from The Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year Awards to all media South Carolina. O'Dell then worked for NBC's Miami-based station WTVJ-TV as an investigative reporter and anchor, prior to her joining Access Hollywood in the role of co-anchor for the weekend. O'Dell, in addition to being the anchor of Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. She's reported on major occasions like The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted the Pre ShowArrivals Shows at The Emmys. The other shows she has hosted include Miss USA, the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
