Nancy O'Dell's initial position in the broadcasting industry was as a reporter/anchor at WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she worked at WCBD as anchor for the morning show and as a crime reporter. Her reporting on the streets of Charleston about the police's leniency toward DUI cases has led to the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the DUI cases. In the year 2000, Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell the Best Report of the year Award to the entire South Carolina media. Following her stint living in Charleston, O'Dell worked as a co-anchor for NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and as an investigative reporter. After that, she was hired by Access Hollywood to work as the weekend and weekday correspondent. O'Dell, in addition to being the lead anchor for Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. The anchor has hosted a number of pre-shows and arrivals shows to The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. Co-hosted Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants. Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
