Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor at WPDE-TV in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. In later years, she was employed by WCBD as a morning anchor and crime reporter. O'Dell's stories in Charleston regarding the police's tolerance when it comes to DUI cases, prompted the State Law Enforcement Division to examine. The result was state authorities issuing more strict regulations in these cases. In the year 2000, Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell her Best Report of the year award for every aspect of South Carolina media. O'Dell was a reporter and anchor for a time in Charleston reporting, was a co-anchor at the NBC Miami WTVJ-TV station prior to moving to Access Hollywood where she is now a correspondent and co-anchor during weekends. Alongside her job as the lead anchor on Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell also contributes to NBC News' Today and in addition to Dateline NBC. She's reported on events such like The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as in addition to hosting a series of pre-show arrivals to The Emmys and the Golden Globes. Co-hosted also the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
